ABOUT USWe are the Hamilton and Cambridge Farmers' MarketsThe Hamilton Farmers' Market and the Cambridge Farmers' Market make up the Waikato Farmers' Markets.
We are authentic farmers' markets and only sell produce and food and drink items grown or produced in the Waikato (or within a 100 km radius). There are up to 45 stalls in Hamilton and up to 30 stalls in Cambridge on a weekend, and everything is offered from vegetables, fruit, meat and fish, to eggs and milk, to coffee, baked goods, preserves and ready to eat meals. Come and shop at the farmers' market - Saturday in Cambridge, Sunday in Hamilton! |
YOUR COMMUNITYWhy buy local?Buying at a farmers' market helps you and your family to connect with food, learn what's in season and how and where it's grown. Talk to farmers, learn about the benefits of their produce and get ideas about how to prepare them and what to combine them with.
Our farmers' markets are a great mix of Waikato farmers and small Waikato businesses that produce locally, often featuring locally grown ingredients. Be part of your community, support local farmers and businesses and keep your carbon footprint low by eating local and in season. Eating with the seasons is affordable and healthy. We offer seasonal recipes highlighting ingredients that are currently available at the markets. Pick up recipes at the information stall before shopping, or check out our market blogs: |
